Accessibility Statement for APPLI

 

This is an accessibility statement from Appalachian Learning Initiative, a West Virginia-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on conducting research regarding, reporting on, advocating for, and building technological solutions to address issues related to adult literacy, adult numeracy, health literacy, and access to public services in the 13-state, 423-county Appalachian Region.

Measures to support accessibility

 

Appalachian Learning Initiative takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of APPLI:

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.

  • Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
     

Conformance status

 

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. APPLI is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
